16-20 of April, 2018 was the week of ecology in VGTU Engineering Lyceum. It was full of various activities dedicated to our environment, climate change and water issues. Students were discussing, preparing posters and doing different kind of experiments. The most exciting thing is our new meteorological station!
Exhibition of frozen water photos
The research of different sources of water revealed, that water in Lithuania is good enough to drink and use for other needs.
The aim of our research was to determine pH, the quantity of nitrates and phosphates in the samples of tap water.
There were taken 3 samples from different places and the results of this survey showed, that our water is undoubtedly good.

On the 1st and 2nd of December, 2016 the first transnational meeting of the new Erasmus+ project "My World in the Drop of Water" took place in Engineering Lyceum of Vilnius Gediminas
Technical University. Project partners from the schools of Estonia (Koidula
Gymnasium), Latvia (Salaspils 1. vidusskola), the Netherlands (R.-K.Sg. Canisius), Portugal (Escola Secundária Campos de Melo - Covilhã) and Turkey (Yenikent Anatolian High School) came to
Lithuania. The meeting started with the performance of folk dance ensemble (Inga Bessmertnaja).
Headmistress of Engineering Lyceum of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University Regina Mikalauskienė welcomed representatives of the participating schools, wished them success and effective
co-operation.
During the meeting the project partners presented their schools and their uniqueness, visited lessons and school spaces, danced
Lithuanian folk dances related with water with dancers of group "Lašiukai" ("Droplets") (Gabrielė Čepaitė) and danced the dances presented by teachers from Estonia, Latvia
and the Netherlands. Project partners also created a calendar for 2017, discussed the activities that will be implemented throughout the project, decided the
date for the next meeting.
We are happy that this project promotes international cultural communication between different countries!
*Project participants - 9-18 years old students and teachers. Engineering Lyceum of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University is the project coordinator. The project will run until August, 2018.
